Adultery:
Adultery is refer as "Zina" or "Unlawful sexual relation" between two unmarried persons. OR sexual relations (homosexuality) between same-sex persons.
Prohibition of Zina in Islam:
Adultery is completely prohibited in Islam. According to scholars, in its legal meaning zina is ‘the voluntary sexual intercourse outside of marriage when the male sexual organ is inserted inside the female one, regardless of the number of times.
“And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)”[al-Isra’ 17:32]
Acts which leads to Zina :
Zina (adultery, fornication) does not refer only to penetration, rather there is the zina of the hand, which is touching that which is forbidden, and the zina of the eyes, which is looking at that which is forbidden, even though zina that is committedwith the private parts, is the zina which is punishable with the severe punishment.
Ibn ‘Abbas narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:"Allah has written for Adam’s son (mankind) his share of Zina(adultery and fornication), which he commits inevitably. The zina of the eyes is the sight (to gaze at a forbidden thing), thezinaof the tongue is the talk, and the inner-self wishes and desires and the private parts testify all this or deny."(Al-Bukhari)
Zina a major sin:
Zina is regarded among the major sins in Islam. That's why Allah commanded men and women to keep their gaze low to protect themselves from this major sin which leads to hell.
“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All‑Aware of what they do.And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts)”(al-Noor 24:30-31)
Repent to Allah:
The person who has committed any of these actions has to repent to Allah, for whoever repents Allah will accept his repentance, and the one who repents is like one who did not sin.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The five daily prayers, and from one Jumu’ah to the next, and from one Ramadaan to the next, expiates for the sins that come in between, so long as you avoid major sins.” (Narrated by Muslim, 1/209)
May Allah protect from such act.
